Mission Critical Mindset
Want to know HOW a “Mission Critical MINDSET” works ?
Data centers are very different from commercial office buildings and factories in terms of construction, management, and operation.
The failure of a data center is not an option for most. Today, businesses often totally rely on or even are their data centers. A data center is much more complex, and it undergoes much greater changes than most other types of facilities.
A challenging management environment is created by software defined data centers (i.e., virtual machines, virtual storage, and virtual networks) and workload movement. In order to meet these challenges, careful coordination and planning are required, right from the design through to the construction and management of the facilities.
As we move through the process of designing, building, and managing the DC, we will maintain the “MISSION CRITICAL MINDSET”.
“Mission critical mindset” principles | Impact |
Emphasis is laid on operating and maintenance operations, job processes, and procedures is risk mitigation | Deals with all potential hazards to system availability and employee/occupant safety in a proactive manner. |
Taking decisive action with patience and confidence as a result of thorough planning and preparation prevents risks from developing into issues | Permits quicker reaction times and fewer mistakes if issues do occur |
Methodology for avoiding risks and solving problems that is analytical and process-driven | guarantees predictable and secure functioning and aids in recognising and reducing risk in complicated contexts |
Complete awareness of the operation and interdependence of facility systems and parts | Quickly discover and address prospective risks or current issues; prevent or minimise system downtime |
A commitment to continuous improvement and learning | Increases operational effectiveness and skill levels to maintain a competitive edge in a continuously changing environment. |
